This 1959-60 basketball set is a very elusive issue, even for the most thorough of basketball card collectors. This St Louis Hawks set, sponsored by Busch Bavarian Beer, is a near set missing only Sihugo Green. Included cards and their approximate condition: Cliff Hagan (FR), Clyde Lovellette (EX), John McCarthy (VG), and Bob Pettit (EX). It should be noted that this is truly a condition sensitive issue since the cards are of very thin paper stock, coupled with their large size (4"x5"). Regardless of grading above, the cards' eye appeal is virtually the same and certainly extraordinary.
