Sports-related artwork from Artmaster's first day cover production facility. Box filled with 40 plus different camera ready 'mechanicals' on heavy artboards. Many with transparent overlays incorporating hand drawn or photocopied artwork with typography, along with artist production notes. These were used to create a negative for the FDC cachet. Interesting and attractive items, commemorating sports figures or events; subjects include: Lou Gehrig, Jim Thorpe, Jackie Robinson, Vince Lomardi, Bobby Jones, Olympic themes, football coaches, lawn tennis, and several others. More than 35 subjects in all. Great for the Topical or First Day collectors. Sizes run from about 10x10" to 28"x18". Fine condition, some with creased corners and a couple lost transparencies. Also included as a bonus, a couple dozen stamp die plates for Sports FDCs.
