Marquetry Edwards & Roberts Writing Desk, English,
(Edwards & Roberts were considered the premier cabinet makers of their day.) Late 19th c., mahogany veneers with extensive inlays. The upper double door cabinet with marquetry fronts and pierced brass gallery over original green tooled leather writing surface. The knee hole desk features drawers with barber pole inlay and straight tapered legs with cross banded double line inlay terminating in cuff feet on casters. Central drawer with Edwards & Roberts brand. 51" x 41.5" x 24"

Some veneer chips, inlay repairs, replaced pulls (central drawer missing pulls), one backboard replaced.
