Willem Blaeu Map of Southeastern North America,
"Virginiae partis australis, et Floridae partis orientalis, interjacentiumq regionum Nova Descriptio'" Amsterdam, 17th century, copperplate engraving showing the region between the Chesapeake Bay and northern Florida. Embellishments include a title cartouche flanked by Indians, the British and French coats-of-arms, cherubs holding a distance scale and ships at sea. The whole is tastefully hand-colored. From a larger atlas with Latin text on the verso. Matted in frame to 23" x 27"
