A CONTINENTAL GILT METAL MOUNTED CUT GLASS EWER, the shaped bottle form sides with hexagonal cut decorated neck above serrated vertical line cut lower section, surmounted by a scrolling foliate engraved collar suspending reticulated scrolls surmounted by an everted spout with shaped cartouche and seraphim centered by rocaille and curling acanthus supporting a hinged cap-form lid with scrolled brackets, enclosing a baluster stem opposite a shaped handle cast with curling leaves centering a grotesque mask, raised on a stepped socle. Late 19th century. Note: Top needs reattaching. Height: 16".
