AN EMPIRE STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED "X" FRAME BUREAU PLAT, late 20th century, the rectangular mahogany top with molded edge centering a gilt tooled leather panel above a frieze drawer with stylized cartouche escutcheon cast with scrolling foliage and flowers issuing reticulated blossoming lotus branches flanked by fruiting acanthus pendants above metal patinated "X" frame legs with anthemion cast capitals ending in leaf modeled sabots joined by a baluster form stretcher. Height: 30 1/2", width: 48", depth: 25 5/8".
