AN EARLY VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER COFFEE POT by Makepeace, London, 1844, the octagonal baluster form body engraved with stylized scrolling strapwork centering shaped panels of cross hatching flanked by an "S" curved spout with foliate cast lip and a shaped handle, with conforming domed lid and finial with similar engraving, on a spreading octagonal base, raised on a reticulated plinth and scrolling cartouche cast feet. Note: large dents on hinged lid and sides. Height: 13 1/2".
