A LOUIS XV STYLE GILT BRONZE MOUNTED AND PAINTED MEUBLE HAUTE Á'APPUIS, by P. E. Guerin, the serpentine rectangular brèche marble top above a bombé form case with espagnolette corner mounts wearing feathered headdress over "C" scrolls and tapered floral clusters continuing to reeded chutes terminating in cabochon cast stylized shell sabots flanking a conforming door painted with Cupid embracing Psyche amongst billowing clouds within a sinuous reeded encadrement of scrolling blossoming acanthus and stylized shell pendants centered by side panels painted with ribbon-tied classical trophies. Late 19th/early 20th century. Height: 47", width: 38", depth: 18 1/2".
