A SWISS GILT BRONZE SINGING BIRD MUSIC BOX, mid 19th century, of rectangular form with turned texture patter ground enclosing a shaped rectangular panel of floral sprays centering an oval hinged lid chased and engraved with a scrolling cartouche and blossoming branches opening to a reticulated screen of curling vines and blossoms beneath a miniature bird figure, within borders of leaf tips and broad leaf corners above similar turned ground sides centering stylized flower filled urns flanked by acanthus leaves. Ex lot 211 Sotheby's May 16, 1985. Height: 1 3/8", width: 3 3/4", depth: 2 1/2".
