A LARGE MEISSEN BLUE GROUND VASE, second half 19th century, in the Rococo style with shaped reverses of molded "C" scrolls and rocaille centering classically attired goddesses seated amongst billowing clouds reversing to cherubs and a goddess frolicking amidst dark clouds above a cartouche shaped reserve of floral bouquets over a circular socle centering shaped rectangular reserves of similarly molded borders depicting trophies of love and the arts, the interior of scattered blossoms. Height: 19", diameter: 12 3/8"
