AN ELEGANT NAPOLEON III GILT BRONZE MOUNTED WHITE ONYX URN, third quarter 19th century, the oviform body with ribbon entwined berried laurel branch banding suspending curling horn ram's head handles above a vitruvian scroll cast and chased band surmounted by a waisted neck and rounded rim, supported by a circular socle with leaf tip cast mount raised on a beaded octagonal plinth centering a vitruvian scroll frieze and acanthus pendant flanked by tapering rectangular feet. Height: 29 1/4", diameter: 12 1/2".
