Marcel Breuer. 'Lath chair ti 1a' designed in 1924. H. 94.5 x 55 x 57.5 cm. Oak laths: 2.2 - 2.34 x 5.5 -5.75 cm. Made probably at Bauhaus Weimar. Oak wood, brown leatherstraps with linen bottomside. Provenance: Hamburg artist's family with contacts to Wiener WerkstŠtte and Berlin Avantgarde of the 1920/30s. Plugged and glued (part of which redone by an amateur), remnants of red paint (not original), leather straps additional.
