Two American folk carved "face" canes: 1) club handle with end carved in low relief and penned with face of a woman, with yellow shellac and bands of dark purple pigment, 34" H.; 2) L- shaped handle with man's head carved into one end, carved as a leg where it meets the shaft, which is left with the bark on, 35 1/2" H.
Condition report1) pigment worn on high spots, shaft not straight; 2) old yellow shellac and bark wearing, the handle repaired, submit inquiry
