TWO AMERICAN FOLK CANES

Two American folk carved canes: 1) light colored wood with faux grain, angled L handle ending with a man's face, of a piece with crooked shaft, tin ferrule, 34 7/8" H.; 2) fruitwood with upright knob top carved as a boy's head, with trace of filling in the eyes, of a piece with a twig-spurred shaft, 36 7/8" H.

1) paint with some wear and scuffing, ferrule crushed and dented; 2) polished by handling, with scattered scrapes and bruises and appropriate wear, considerable checking along the length of shaft, head with a wedge split out of the head, submit inquiry
