Two American folk art whimsy canes: 1) carved and painted elm with gently curved handle of a piece with a shaft carved with a gripping hand, above a single-ball whimsy, above a spiraling snake, 35 1/4" H.; 2) turned and carved pine, with upright handle of a piece with square-and-round section shaft, containing a whimsy cage of six cat's-eye marbles and decorated with furniture tacks, 40 1/4" H.

1) general wear appropriate to heavy use, paint worn, checks in handle in shaft, shaft with pronounced curve; 2) old paint and shellack heavily worn, submit inquiry for further details
