Two American vernacular canes: 1) Derby style handle carved with figure of a reclining pig and tree trunk, of a piece with bark-covered shaft, tipped with an iron ferrule, 34 1/8" H.; 2) Derby style handle of carved sycamore fronted with a cow's head and carved all around with a maltese cross design, joined to a sycamore shaft also carved all around with maltese cross pattern, with copper ferrule, 33 3/4" H.
