Four Asian canes made for export: 1) Indian, with J handle composed of two parts, joined to a tapered wooden shaft intricately carved with vines and flowers in relief, metal ferrule, 37" H.; 2) Indian, with sandalwood and spurred L handle, joined to a sandalwood shaft, tip, 33 1/2" H.; 3) Indonesian, with T handle carved as an elephant, joined to a wooden shaft carved in high relief with animals and foliage, 37 1/2" H.; 4) Chinese, with upright handle carved as an immortal, of a piece with the shaft, entwined with a sucker, 54 7/8" H.
