Notes: Bound in fancy marbled boards with three-quarter leather, raised spine bands, and marbled page edges, this rare antique German-language set is a compilation of the works of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, the famous German Enlightenment writer. The work is illustrated throughout with monochrome wood engravings and frontispiece images. The volumes show mild external wear, and are solidly bound with clean, mildly age toned pages.
