Stamped and perforated SPECIMEN (#0189); serial number of zeroes.  Unusual "EQUATORIALE" stamped at upper right margin area.  Date at lower center designated with all zeroes; without place name letter.  Signature 1.  Couple pinholes; slight foxing.  Highest denomination and key to this initial bank note series for West African States.
