Acquired by our consignor at the 1983 Memphis Show and off the market for a full 25 years. It came from a NASCA/Herb Melnick sale shortly before then with a comment that it was the nicest proof seen by the cataloguer. That assessment certainly seems accurate as every facet of the stunning proof is truly "off the charts." Even if you don't intend to bid, take a look at the intricacy of the impression. Proof on India paper mounted to card stock with inspectors check marks in pencil. Graded Gem CU 68 PQ by RCGS.
