New Hampshire , 15 Shillings    Nov. 3, 1775 

This is a really tough note and rare denomination that is seldom seen. Previously from the Ford Collection sale where it was described as, "The very first of this exceedingly rare denomination we believe we have ever offered in nearly three decades. This note is mostly backed on its blank verso with a piece of a contemporary printed newspaper, likely 'The Continental Journal from Boston. One article we can partially read has a date of October 7, 1777. Another shows the Continental Congress is to raise the Postage rates, signed in text by (Ch)arles Thomson, Secretary (of Congress), and more. Some scattered old edge and internal repairs, but having a whole and complete appearance, the signatures and serial number still quite readable. An important, authentic note which is certainly missing from most, even very advanced, collections."
