A total of 15 $20 1882 Datebacks recorded for the entire state makes this a scarce Colorado type. It was a unique type for the bank when Mr. Mayer obtained it from a May 1999 auction, and held that honor until I offered another in last year's Memphis sale. Always concerned with grade, he would be pleased to know that this note is still the better of the two, appearing a full grade better as well as having strong signatures.
