This bank, whose forerunner was the First National Bank of Colorado City, changed its' name in 1918 when Colorado Springs annexed that nearby community. At least 15 large notes are reported on this second title, but it has been years since one has been available at auction. This example has the positive attributes of originality, high grade and wonderful signatures but has some areas of light discoloration.
