There were eight small Denver banks chartered in the 1870s - 1890s with less than $500,000 in circulation. None survived the turn of the century. Notes from these tiny banks are either very rare or simply unreported. We are pleased to offer this fantastic note from an institution that issued First Charters only and went into receivership in 1894. In addition to being a great rarity, it is a lovely high grade note as well, with blue end paper and undisturbed pen signatures. Carrying a pedigree from the Amon Carter collection, it is one of only two notes known on the bank and surpasses its competitor by nearly three grades.
