Auction details |
Chartered in 1902 as the Continental National Bank, this institution changed its name just eight months later to the Capitol National Bank. The first title remains unreported while notes on this second title are just plain rare. There is only one other Red Seal and one 1902 Dateback in the census. Mr. Mayer purchased this exceptional Red Seal privately over a decade ago. We could see a run-away price on this note for its first public offering. No problems and with nice signatures.
