Anna Pottery Railroad Pig Advertising Bottle, American, ca 1880s, by Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna Pottery, Illinois. An Albany slip-glazed anatomically correct molded stoneware advertising pig bottle with hole at rear, incised hooves and facial details, incised on one side with the inscription St. Louis the future Capital in/From John Gaubatz/No. 115 Christy Ave/St Louis Mo. Remainder of pig decorated with an incised map of various landmarks, including Miss River, Alton, O. & M. R.R., C. & St L. R.R., Grand Tower, Cairo the, Odin, Centralia, Carbondale, Anna Jug City, Mounds, G & V.R.R., Vincens, Chicago the Corn City, Cincinnati the Pork City; 7.5" long x 3.5" high.
