Rare Confederate imprint signed "Thos. G. Bacon" Colonel as "Commanding Officer" and "B.M. Tulbert Capt." as Commanding Company K, 1p. oblong folio, Camp Butler, May 5, 1861, being a "Provision Return for Captain B.M. Talbert Company K 7th Regiment of So. Ca. V...." and lists 76 men and their rations. VG. The 7th South Carolina Infantry was organized in the Spring of 1861, fought at 1st Manassas under Bonham, then served with the Army of Northern Virginia from the Seven Day’s Battles to Gettysburg then marched with Longstreet to Tennessee. They saw action at Chickamauga, Knoxville, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania, and Cold Harbor, before fighting with Early in the Valley and surrendered in North Carolina.
