Possible Attack on Wilmington and Report From Gener

Manuscript Document sent through "The Southern Telegraph Companies", 2p. oblong octavo, Columbia, South Carolina, February 7, 1863, from Charleston, to Governor Bonham, and reads: "...Genl. Beauregard received your yesterday’s dispatch and has issued orders to discharge reserves my explanation tonight has made him understand the embarrassment. I told him of last nights resolutions and that you would invite the reserves to volunteer. He has informed Mr. Seddon of the order to discharge & asks that his troops be returned to him from North Carolina. Genl. Whiting telegraphs he fears an attack at Wilmington. Genl. Walker telegraphs that an increased number of vessels about seventy are in Port Royal..." VG.
