Autograph Letter Signed, "S.C. Wolfe Agt. C & S CR Co." 2p. quarto, Columbia, South Carolina, April 13, 1863, addressed to Governor Bonham, and reads in part: "...The bearer of this has a lot of flour which was shipped from this Depot...it was kept back by your Agt. Mr. Thos. U. Perry. the parties who own the flour live in Augusta, Ga. and purchased the flour long before your proclamation in relation to the Shipment of Produce. The flour is all N.C. flour and was shipped by Mr. Stenhouse by the way of the junction to facilitate the transportation and not with any intention to violate the laws of your state..." Fine.
