Autograph Letter Signed, "Joseph Latture" 2p. oblong octavo, November 28, 1864, with cover addressed "Thos. H. J. Latture Private in Capt J.J. Gieslers Co. F. 59th Tennessee Cavalry Vaughn’s Brigade", and reads in part: "...I gave James P. Doggett your boots and twenty five dollars in the new issue...I took your shoes to Bristol to sell and left them with W.W. James to sell for $100...take the best care of Marge you can be careful of the forage you draw for him so it is not wasted where there is no danger of the enemy molesting by taking care of your horse..."
