Scarce partly-printed Document Signed by Robert E. Lee’s Adjutant Walter Taylor and by Jeb Stuart’s A.A.G. H.B. McClellan, 1p. 9"x6", September 10, 1864, Headquarters Cavalry Corps, being an Extract from Speical Orders No. 78, and reads in part: "...The following named members of Harts Battery Stuarts Horse Artillery having given satisfactory evidence of their willingness and ability to procure horses in the place of those killed or lost, or rendered unserviceable in the service will proceed, without delay, to their places of residence for that object..." Listing one man "Corp. D.P. Sourjourner." Silked, Good.
