Confederate field press imprint, 1p. octavo, Issued by General Joe Wheeler, being General Orders No. 2, "Head Au’rs Wheeler’s Cavalry Corps," February 10, 1864, and reads in part: "...The following Schools of Instruction will be established and maintained at all times, except when upon the march. 1st. The Captains and Lieutenants of each Regiment will be organized into a School, and will recite daily to the Regimental commander, or some other field officer...2nd. The non-commissined officers of each company, together with two or more of the most intelligent privates will be organized into a school...The theoretical instruction wil lbe the same as instruction to officers, omitting evolutions of the Regiment..."
