A rare war-date partly-printed oblong 12mo., Army of the Potomac pass reading, in part: "Headquarters Army of the Potomac, Washington, Nov. 14, 1861. Pass Mr. Lessing & sister & Mr. St. Lee to fort Washington & back. By command of Major General McClellan…". Signed by Assistant Adjutant General SETH WILLIAMS (1822-1866). Worthy of further research to find out whom the visitors were. Minor toning, else very good.
