Autograph Letter Signed by Charles Leach, DOD in January 1863, 4p. octavo, on 14th Regiment New Hampshire Volunteers lettersheet, with match illustrated cover, Camp Cherpak, Mud Creek, Montgomery Co., Maryland, November 14, 1862, and reads in part: "...Co. A is here all alone the brigade has moved its headquarters about 2 miles and our Regt left our co. to guad the baggage and sick until they could be moved...there is not many folks here but Niggers they are all in the Army but the old men some of them in the Rebel Army...Our baggage it is said are going to Texas with Gen. Banks on his Expedition..." VG.
