Autograph Letter Signed, "Alfred W. Garnett" 1p. octavo, ‘Cranch’ Hospital U.S.A., Washington, August 29, 1862, with cover, it reads "If the ladies of Medford, or any other town, would be pleased to do anything for the soldiers of their county, they can be gratified & receive many blessings should they forward by ‘Adams’ Expresss freight prepaid, such articles as onions, beets, apples, eggs, live chickens &c &c. to the ‘Cranch’ Hospital U.S.A. Washington D.C. forwarding the bill of laden for the same..." with cover and small note from Alfred to his sister. (3 items)
