Irish Brigade Document Signed Twice By Battle Of A

A great war-date manuscript Union quartermaster document, 1p. folio, Waterford, Va., Nov. 1, 1862 issuing Company C, 28th Massachusetts (Irish Brigade regiment) with blankets, overcoats and shoes just weeks before they were slaughtered during the battle of Fredericksburg. Interestingly, the document is twice signed by company "C" commander Capt. JOHN H. BRENNAN who was wounded during the epic battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862. Fine.
