Autograph Letter Signed, "H.H. Tooley" 123rd New York Infantry WIA & DOW received at Dallas, Georgia, 3p. octavo, Stafford Court House, March 13, 1863, and bears Tooley’s soldier stamp on verso, it reads in part: "...I am not hardly able for duty but will try and do something. You are right about the army not doing any thing, it beats any thing that ever was such an army and the expense they are every day to the Government is enough to ruin any nation on earth the officers are making money out of it and that is all they care about...I am afraid other nations will interfere..." VG.
