Autograph Letter Signed, "George P[?] Metcalf Co. D 136 NY 2nd Brig 2nd Div. 11 Corps. Chattanooga, Tenn." 4p. octavo, January 8, 1863, Camp Lookout Valley, Tennessee, with cover bearing rare "Chattanooga, Tenn" Army postmark, the letter reads in part: "...we are having a very easy time for soldiers we have gone into winter quarters with the rest of this army. Our regts have got the best quarters of any in the Corps..." VG.
