A good group of four war-date 102nd New York Volunteers ordnance/clothing return documents from the 102nd New York. first there are two, 1p. 4to., Ellis Ford, Va., Aug. 29, 1863 concerning company equipment turned over to the regiment by Capt. Robert B. Hathaway of Company F. Major Gilbert Elliot, the signatory of both documents, was killed in just over three months during the battle of Lookout Mountain while his regiment scaled the mountain's heights on Nov. 24, 1863…PLUS; a partly-printed clothing return 1p. large folio, Aug. 1863, [in the field in Northern Virginia] for Company H and sign by numerous soldiers who would become casualties in the coming campaign in Georgia…PLUS; a 1p. 4to. blank printed company document. Some weakness at the folds and light soiling, else very good.
