Soldier’s Autograph letter signed, "Harry Harrison," 4pp., fine, with cover. 2nd U.S. Cavalry, Near Deep Run, Va., May 13th, 1863. In part, "... we poor fellows ... were swimming the Rappahannock at Kelly’s Ford. The Cavalry Corp with Stoneham swam the river on the morning of the 8th ... The river was very high and the current swift ... quite a number of horses and one or two men were lost ... Gen. Stonham performed great deeds with his corps during the ten days he was in the rear of the rebel army ..."
