Autograph Letter Signed, "Robert Wadmore" 3rd Massachusetts Heavy Artillery, 3p. octavo, Fort Scott Near Alexandria, September 12, 1864, on rare patriotic lettersheet with "New Patriotic and Comic Song, on the Sinking of the Alabama by the U.S. Gunboat Kearsarge, Captain Winslow." the letter reads in part: "...We have got another company here with us now and there time is out in one week they are the 104th Pennsylvania Infantry. They have been 2 months off of Charleston on Morris Island and have been down to Florida. They brought from Florida 2 Alligators which measure eight feet long they are going to bring them home as relics..." VG.
