A rare war-date printed pro-McClellan glazed board propaganda/political ticket, oblong 12mo., published by the Boston Daily Courier, circa 1864, entitled: "Gen. McClellan to the War Department." Reading, in part: "Gen. McClellan, in reply to the order to retreat from Harrison Landing, said: 'Clear in my convictions of right, strong in the consciousness that I have ever been, and still am, actuated solely by the love of my country, knowing that no ambitious or selfish motives have influenced me…I entreat that this order may be rescinded…". Most likely printed to gather support for McClellan when he ran against Lincoln during the 1864 presidential campaign. Fine.
