New York, Currier & Ives. 12 x 16 inches. Reilly 1861-4. South Carolina Governor Francis Pickens threatens to fire a cannon aimed at him if President Buchanan doesn't surrender Fort Sumter. Buchanan holds up his hand and pleads with Pickens not to fire until he has turned the presidency over to Lincoln. A nice clean example of a scarce post-secession pint of South Carolina interest.
