Autograph Letter Signed, "Wm. Dillioyn" 1p. folio, Philadelphia, August 20, 1762, with integral address "To John Smith in Burlington", and reads in part: "...The Indians have given up about 18 captives at Lancaster - who seem’d to leave the Indians with much regret - They have agreed also to give up all that remain among them to such as the Governor shall appoint at Pittsburgh - I hear that a trade is to be open’d and regularly carried on by the English wth the Shawanese (and I suppose wth the Delawares, tho they did not so earnestly desire it) - Tis uncertain when the Treaty will end as they manage their affairs but slowly..."
