Manuscript Document Signed, 1p. folio, May 3, 1828, Lawrence County, Alabama, addressed to the sheriff, and reads in part: " you are hereby commanded to take the body of Henry a slave the property of James Alexander...before the Judge...to give evidence in behalf of the State in a suit now pending in said Court wherein the State of Alabama is plantiff and Allen a slave the property of Isaac Johnson is defendant.." Fine.
