Denmark was nice to see again and this time we really were tourists...Ireland was interesting...The children are so big - David 5-10 - Anne 5-9 - Susie and Mary Jean tall too. Latter just lost her two front teeth. As you have read Ike has been busy policticing. He is so concerned over the state of the country he felt he must get out and help altho I think it too much for him. He still has six more speeches to make. Have been to Washington several times recently. Saw Mike - Ruth B. - Mary A. and Kate Hughes. Latter has moved into the Army distaff Home. Loves it and there are many of our old friends out there...We have been so worried about Al Gruenther. He went into Walter Reed with pneumonia and so many other things went wrong that they had sent for the sons...A week ago to-day we were in Baltimore for Ruth Eisenhower’s wedding...Bob Schulz is B.G. and retires Jan 1st..."
