Augustus Osborne Lamplough (1877-1930) 'Arab dhows on the Nile' watercolour, signed 24cm x 63cm also the companion 'A view of the pyramids, Cairo' a pair-(2) Lamplough was born in Chester and studied at the local art school. He specialised in architectural subjects and painted in Venice in his early career though concentrated on North African scenes from 1902. He lectured at Leeds Art School.
