Owen Bowen (1873 - 1967) Daffodils and tulips in a green vase oil on canvas laid down on board, signed, 50 cm x 44 cm Owen Bowen was born and raised in Leeds where he founded the Leeds School of Painting. He found his subjects in the Yorkshire landscape and also painted still lifes. Bowen was a member of the Staithes Group, an artistic community on the North Yorkshire coast.
