Publisher's half buckram over paperboards, printed paper label on spine, uncut, housed in quarter red morocco clamshell case. Condition: as issued. first edition, number 208 of 210 copies signed by hunter. This, the last book issued by Dard Hunter's Mountain Horse Press was also its most ambitious, with more illustrations and samples than any of the earlier works. This bold, and elegant type was designed by Hunter's son, Dard Jr. As usual, all type-setting and presswork for the book was done by father and son. This is a lovely copy of their masterpiece.
