STAMPED "CHANDLER / MAKER", EDGEFIELD DISTRICT, SC ALKALINE-GLAZED STONEWARE JAR, slip-trailed "6" gallon capacity, tall ovoid form with deep handles and slightly flared rim, slip-trailed loop and swag decoration on both sides. Thomas Chandler's Factory, Kirksey's Crossroad, SC. Mid 19th century. 18" h, 7 1/2" dia rim.
